Missy Maddie

 New character alert!  

Well, actually, she's not necessarily new (I've had this sketch sitting in my files for a long while now), she's just finally being introduced, hehe.

Anyway, meet Madeline! Maddie is a young donkey filly who moved to Sugar Flats with her mother, Miss Miranda, from New Oatleans (New Orleans) from a very young age. Her mother works as Gold Lemon's, the town's richest sugar baron, secretary, and has formed a strong relationship with them, including Maddie, who is considered almost as a little sister to Honey Lemon. Although Maddie is a cheerful filly, she has a no-nonsense kind of personality when it comes to serious issues, and tries to remain responsible at all times. This stems from her upbringing, as, before they moved to Sugar Flats, Miranda and Maddie lived very poorly due to Miranda not being able find stable work to maintain them both. Maddie has always remembered how much her mother struggled, so she has tried to behave properly and be responsible since moving to Sugar Flats. The bond between mother and daughter is very strong, and although they live much more comfortably now (the Lemon's pay very well), Maddie has still taken it upon herself to support her family. She works at the Sugar Mill Saloon as a delivery filly/waitress, where she eventually meets Poppy Spree (I got to keep her! ), and the two (along with another young filly I have yet to introduce) become the best of friends. 

That's all I gotta say about Maddie for now! You'll definitely be seeing more of her and her mother soon, and even more of the Lemon's, too. I can't wait to delve into the shenanigans Maddie, Poppy, and the other filly get into, hehe.
